Trinidad and Toabgo
Trinidad and Tobago, a twin-island nation off the northern coast of South America near Venezuela, is part of the Lesser Antilles. Located by the Caribbean Sea and North Atlantic Ocean, it has a population of 1.5 million people of diverse ethnic backgrounds.

The country gained independence, establishing a new parliamentary system with a President as Head of State, a Prime Minister as Head of Government, and a Cabinet of Ministers. The national flag has three colors representing different elements, and the Coat of Arms features the national birds, the Scarlet Ibis and Cocrico.

Trinidad and Tobago's national birds are the Scarlet Ibis and the Cocrico. The Scarlet Ibis, native to Trinidad's wetlands, is bright red with a curved beak. The Cocrico, found in Tobago's forests, is a brown bird with a distinct call. Both are featured on the nation's Coat of Arms.

During the season, various events are held, including fetes, soca and calypso competitions, the Panorama steel pan contest, Dimanche Gras performances, Carnival King and Queen competitions, J'ouvert, and the main event, Mas, where people parade in colorful costumes with feathers and beads.
Curry crab
Trinidad and Tobago is home to the steel pan, their national instrument. The country is also famous for its beaches and Creole cuisine, including dishes like doubles, roti, curry crab and dumplings, pelau, and bake and shark.

The Cocrico, or Rufous-vented Chachalaca, is a bird found in Trinidad and Tobago. It has a long tail, short curved bill, and rufous coloration on its belly and tail. As Tobago's national bird, it is prized for its meat, a local delicacy, and is an important cultural symbol featured in folklore and art.
